Faith · Update · What I have been doing

Really? Again?

“Really? Again?” is what you are saying right now. YES, I KNOW! I am such a terrible blogger. Now, I thought that I would be able to post. Really, I did. I thought that I could keep up with posting on two blogs. But, really, can I? Now I am second guessing my plans. I have had so many great ideas for this little blog. But now….I don’t know. It’s just not working the way I planned. I’m sad to say this….but, I guess it time to say….

Really, I don’t know why you are still reading this. You probably know where this is headed. It happens when a blogger slows down, then…..

I’m not quitting. In fact, I am taking a deep breath of fresh air, and truly thinking about what I want this blog to be. After all, I have named this blog “My Life of Faith”. But, what have I posted about lately? Well, nothing. The last post I did was Iā€™m back?. The post before that was Tips for School. While those are okay posts, they are not truly the content that my blog was intended for. This blog was supposed to be a Christian blog. It was supposed to be about faith. Recently I’ve just lost the motive to post. It’s not that I haven’t thought about it, or wanted to at times. But I really lost the motivation. I lost the fire that I first had. It’s like when you let a campfire burn without adding more wood. In the beginning I was burning bright and strong, I had good ideas, but I was figuring out how to write posts use wordpress and all that comes with starting a blog. Maybe you could say that my fire was not properly kindled and where it burned strong and bright for awhile it wore itself out. If you’ve ever messed with fire you probably know that grass burns bright, and hot, but also quickly. My fire was kind of like a grass fire. I had gotten to the point of adding bits of slower burning stuff to my fire, but not enough stuff. Then at the beginning of summer I was down to the embers. Throughout the summer I was barely burning. Then the school year hit and I was completely burned out. Now the fire must be reignited. I am working to do that now.

It may take awhile to get back up. But I promise you I will come back. It may take awhile to get the fire reignited, but I am going to try. Please forgive me if I take some time to get back up. It will take awhile for me to relight that fire that powers this blog, but I will relight it. This time I should be able to keep the fire burning. Now that I know how to properly kindle the fire that runs this blog, I should be able to keep it burning.

Please feel free to comment on what you would like to see me post about. I am striving to make this a Christian blog, and have a few ideas of what I might post for Christian posts. IF you have any ideas for me, leave them in the comments and I will take them into consideration. Thank you for reading this post. I know how much I rambled about fires and stuff, so a huge thanks to you if you made it through the whole post.

*Note: It is the readers that helps keep a blog alive. Thanks to every person who has read my blog, to my followers though I don’t know many of you. Thanks to you, if you are reading this. I need your support to keep this blog running.

Merry Christmas!

  1. It’s good to hear from you again, Haley! I totally understand what you’re talking about. The drive was lost for me during the summer and the beginning of this first semester. But, the fire has come back and I thank the Lord for that because people have been encouraged by my new posts!

Here are a few post ideas for you:

What your Devotional Time Looks Like
How Do you Apply God’s Word to Your Life?
Christian Blogs, YouTubers, Podcasters, etc that You Enjoy (recommendations)
Christian Tags (such as a blessings tag, testimony tag, sharing God’s love tag, etc)

I hope you like these ideas! And, I’ll let you know if I think of anymore. šŸ™‚
