July 2020 – Update, Stats, and More!

Hello every one!

First off I want to say, this month was my 2 year blogiversary! 2 whole years, as of July 20. I am sorry I didn’t post on the actual day, this month has been very busy for me. As a celebration for my blogiversary, I was planning on doing a stats update type thing, but as you have seen, I didn’t post. Because of that factor, I am now going to do it, today.

I was actually surprised at what I found out when looking at the different stats! 2020 has been the best year by far! Thanks so much to all my readers, followers, and commentors! You guys are the ones who keep this blog running!

Life Update:

I have completed all the class time for Drivers Ed! I still have 4 hours of driving with the instructor left. Currently, I am allowed to drive with my parents on a permit that is only good in the state I live in. In September I will be getting the license that allows me to drive with anyone 21 or older!

In our area, we have taught 3 weeks of 5-day clubs! This week was our week off, but next week we will be teaching again! All of the clubs have gone pretty well, there hasn’t been any extremely difficult clubs yet!

Currently, we have grandparents visiting! We haven’t seen them since March, so it is nice to spend some time with them, again!

Looking Ahead:

Honestly, I am not sure what August will bring. Hopefully I will be able to post more, but I am not certain that I will be able to. The whole scheduling posts thing, kinda fell through. I just didn’t have the time (or wifi) to post! I am not making any promises, but I will try to post more in August than I did in July.

Posts in the future:

More book reviews! (perhaps books by Mildred D. Taylor, and Summer of My German Solider)

Bedroom tour (you guys asked for it, but I haven’t done it yet!)

School Supplies Haul

Whats in My Backpack (maybe)

What I’m wearing Summer 2020

Our Vacation (if we take one, we still aren’t sure)

Photo Dump

Anything else you want to see?? Have you got any ideas? Tell me in the comments!

See you in August!

  3. These are some impressive stats, well done for that, and I look forward to reading more of your blog posts! I think you should do a stats update at the end of the month πŸ™‚

I think in terms of blog posts, you should write one on self care or how you look after your mental health, it would help a lot of readers!

Feel free to read some of my blogs πŸ™‚

    1. Thanks! I am glad you are impressed!
Thanks for the suggestions, although I myself am no expert at self care. I am not sure that I would be able to write a post like that, but I might try!

  4. Hey Haley! (It’s Maggie from Maggie and Fam! πŸ™‚ I’ve started a new blog!) It was so great to read a post by you again!

Congrats on 82 followers! You’re totally on your way to 100! You’ll be there in no time. It’s such an exciting milestone!

Ooh and another congratulations on completing a lot of Driver’s Ed! I did an online course back in 2016 and boy, it sure took a while, but it was important to learn all that I did before hitting the road.

All those upcoming posts sound awesome! Especially the book reviews (I’ve written some myself recently!) and bedroom tour! I love taking a peek into other people’s rooms. I think different decorating and organization styles are so interesting. πŸ™‚

    1. Hi, Maggie! I missed your posts! Why did you start a new blog? I guess I am confused.

I know! I hope to reach 100 before the end of the year!

Drivers Ed did have it’s challenges, but I passed, so that is good!

I am excited to work on those posts, although I don’t know that I will be able to do all of them. I am planning on doing the bedroom tour at some point.

I am checking out your blog now!

      1. Well, long story short (kind of), I’ve been going through a lot these past few years – I can’t remember if I ever wrote about it, but Elizabeth (my 4yo sister) was diagnosed with autism in February of 2019. Her toddler days were really challenging, and instead of going off to college once I turned 18 or getting a job, I stayed home to help my parents raise her. During that time, I changed blogging directions fairly quickly because the stress level of my daily life made it hard for me to get settled with one blog. I still felt unsettled with posting on Maggie & Fam, and the daily life posts were kind of an experiment. Even though my blogs have been sporadic, I don’t want to give up because I still love blogging so much. I am healing every day and being part of the WP community makes me really happy!

        That would be awesome!

Sounds like a good plan πŸ˜€

        Thanks!

      2. Oh!! I understand! I don’t think you ever wrote about Elizabeth, but now that you have told me, I totally get it!
I am glad that you still enjoy blogging, but completely understand the whole stress level thing! It can be pretty hard to find just one thing to blog about!
