Seeing what I have read in February!

Christy Miller Collection Volume 1, books 1-3 by Robin Jones Gunn

#1 Summer Promise

I’d heard good things about this series, so I naturally wanted to read it. I was hooked after the first page. The only downside I have is that it was a bit cheesy.

#2 A Whisper and a Wish

This one wasn’t my favorite. Out of the three I like this one least.

#3 Yours Forever

This one I like better! It had more action in it.

The Mysterious Benedict Society by Trenton Lee Stewart

I love this book! This was my second time reading it. The characters are well defined, and the plot stays moving. The character’s talents are believable, not overdone. The story just draws you in, and makes you feel like you are there with everyone.

The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Perilous Journey by Trenton Lee Stewart

This is the second book in the MBS series. I like this one almost as much, although it isn’t as believable.

The Mysterious Benedict Society and the Prisoners Dilemma by Trenton Lee Stewart

Captivating. I loved reading it! This is the 3rd book in the MBS series, and it is just as good as the rest!

The First Love by Beverly Lewis

This is the story of an Amish girl who suffers from Junior Rheumatoid Arthritis. It’s a story of how she finds God amidst her pain and learns how to trust him. It’s the story of how she meets the man of her dreams and learns how to accept herself as she is. It’s a story of beauty through the pain and loss. It is inspiring. I liked it for the most part.

Pride and Prejudice by Jane Austen

I read this for school, nevertheless, I shall rate it. The story was pretty good, but it seemed a bit silly. The book had a lot of characters to keep track of, but most of them were well defined. The plot was a bit slow in places. Overall, I liked the book better than I thought I would.

AH!! We made it! Whew! So, what do you think? I didn’t read as much as I did in January, but most of these books are rather long. If you want a more in depth review of any of these, please comment which one(s)! I’d love to know what you want a review of.

SO!! Now for an update.

Life is going pretty well. February flew by fast! At the beginning of the month we went of vacation, which I mentioned before. Then two weeks after we came back, we took a mini vacation to see some frozen waterfalls/ice structures. It was pretty cool!

School is going well. Nothing is too hard or too easy, which is good. I’ve enjoyed school for the most part this past month.

Other than that, I haven’t blogged much, sorry about that. I’ve been busy…sort of… with school.

That was about all for February.

Without further ado, the March Challenge that I created.

And here it is!! March Book Bingo! In honor of national reading month, I created a March book bingo! I would love if you would participate!

Basically, book bingo is a challenge to read certain books, while trying to get a bingo (in this case, four in a row) or a blackout card (all of them read). I created a suitable for everyone book bingo, as I know there are some out there that aren’t so suitable for younger people. Book bingo is relatively simple, and it may help expand your reading choices. Some of the spots are pretty specific, while other aren’t. For instance, a book about food, means read a book about food. Whereas, a book with a black cover could be any book you want that has a black cover (two I know of are, The first book in the Hunger Games series, and The Extraordinary Education of Nicholas Benedict (prelude to the MBS series). I attempted to create a diverse bingo card, as I didn’t want anyone to be bored. Yet I also wanted it to be simple, because, let’s face it, most of us don’t have a ton of time to spend searching for the perfect book (if you do, congratulations.)

I’m gonna say this again, I would love if you would participate! It’s not hard, I promise (I HAVE done one of these before). Even if you don’t have time to fill the card, I think that getting one bingo is reasonable for most people. If you wish to participate, let me know in the comments!
